You'll notice a new section in the forum with the above title. I've created a user group titled "pro guides", while everyone can read the guide lines, only "Pro Guides" will have posting privileges within that forum.

This is free for all involved, and the intent is to get the guides along the Texas coast some free exposure, and let the angler's know whats biting, and when straight from the guides themselves. Everyone benefits including Texas Flats fishing.. The only requirement is the guide must be licensed and insured. And while I don't personally check this, word travels pretty fast on the internet, and if you have any forum experience whatsoever you know it will be exposed.

So if your a guide, that might want to participate, you first have to be a registered member, then simply send me a PM and I'll add you to the group.

If you might know a guide that would like to participate, please feel free to let them know. You can use the invite feature at the top of the page to make that process quick and painless.

ADDED:
I've created a dynamic page that pulls the latest reports from the upper, middle, and lower coast reports. The benefit is users can read the most recent reports from all along the coast on one page, and once the search engines get on there your guide service will get better exposure. You can take a look at it here.

More to come, stay tuned.

Hello Jeff, My name is Bob Edwards. I am a guide in Rockport but I take only guided floundering trips. I would like to post on your board. Although the floundering has been pretty bad since Cedar Bayou has closed, I am looking for better days ahead. As you know, my wife Lynn has been working very hard for all of us to have great fishing again and If any one can do it I can say that she can and will get it done. I really felt for her today when she got the news that the project would not be funded by CIAP. We have been married for 40 years now and knowing her, I would not even thing of standing in her way right now. She has had it pretty bad since the death of her brother, but she still some how pulls her self together and get things done. She has always been a strong woman with a sense of right and wrong. A friend of ours calls her the Cherokee bulldog, when she is not setting on her butt growling, she is on the war path. Man is she on the warpath. I admire my wife and her convictions. I wish people understood her as I do. I have never posted on a board before, but I would enjoy posting on this board. If you would please let me know what I should do to get started. I also wanted to thank you for helping Lynn.  Bob Edwards

Captain Bob,
Glad to have you friend. To avoid any confusion, you might want to register your own account. Then I'll add you to the guides section. But if you prefer to use Mrs. Edwards user name that's fine as well, just let me know.
On Cedar Bayou, I've read all I could find on the subject and was inspired by her determination.
Truth is, I'm surprised she's had to fight at all, to open our passes that were closed due to man intervention is the only responsible thing to do. And for the agencies that are involved to turn it in to a political matter is just a shame.
I'm working on the latest email I got from Lynn and will make a post on it so we can all contact the right people.
Thanks again for all ya'll do.
